Στο Ιράν σήμερα η κατοχή ναρκωτικών ουσιών τιμωρείται με τη θανατική ποινή. Παρ΄όλα αυτά σε μια χώρα 80 εκατομμυρίων υπάρχουν 6.5 εκατομμύρια χρήστες ναρκωτικών. Ποιος προμηθεύει αυτούς τους χρήστες; Στην ταινία 6.5 ΕΚΤΟΣ ΕΛΕΓΧΟΥ ακολουθούμε τον ντετέκτιβ Σαμάντ (Πείμαν Μοάντι) ο οποίος αναμετριέται σε μια σκληρή μάχη με έναν πανίσχυρο μεγαλέμπορο (Ναβίντ Μοχαμαντζαντέχ). Η φυλάκισή του όμως είναι μόνο η αρχή. Μια τεράστια κινηματογραφική επιτυχία στη χώρα της, η ταινία είναι μια καταιγιστική αστυνομική ταινία δράσης αντάξια του Χόλιγουντ, η οποία μας προσφέρει παράλληλα μια ξεκάθαρη ματιά στη λειτουργία των συστημάτων εξουσίας της Τεχεράνης, καθώς και όλους τους τρόπους με τους οποίους τα συστήματα αυτά δεν λειτουργούν.
